The First Billion Dollar Home

The world’s first billion dollar home in Mumbai, India will cost over $2 billion, will have 400,000 square feet of living space and will soar 550 feet in to the sky. No two floors are alike in the 22-story monstrosity.
There is six stories of parking, an entertainment level (with a health spa and yoga studio), a massive movie theater, a lobby with nine elevators and an elaborate, crystal laden ballroom that can hold hundreds of guests. For more, check out this gallery and article from Forbes.

Eiffel DNA

In celebration of the 120th anniversary of the Eiffel Tower, Serero architects have created a highly-buzzed proposal that would temporarily restructure the top access area of the tower. The redesign would increase the quality of tower access to the public and would also offer stunning panoramic views of Paris. (via Computerlove)
Trendy (and environmental) Parking

Although a “green parking garage” sounds like an oxymoron to me, there is no doubt the eye-catching aesthetics of the new Santa Monica Civic Center parking structure has broken the mold from the sterile and mundane. The building will soon be the first LEED certified parking garage in the United States, and the structure even has spaces set aside for electric vehicles and offers free bike parking. (via inhabitat)
